The ESIEE Group is one of the best equipped centres of education in Electrical Engineering in France. The industrial equipment includes 300 m2 of clean rooms for the manufacture of integrated circuits and micro machined sensors; a flexible manufacturing system with CAD/CAM workstations, vision systems and programmable controllers; 100 workstations; a speech processing laboratory, and a microwave laboratory. An increasing number of doctoral students from France and other countries are attracted by the Group's outstanding, high-tech equipment and facilities, to work in faculty research teams on state of the art research and development projects. The Group's affiliation to the Paris Chamber of Commerce CCIP marks its approach to engineering education in a way that pays special attention to the needs of industry. The close collaboration between the Group and - Industry is reflected in the: industry-sponsored, project-based learning involvement of experts from industry in the updating of programs and curricula participation of professional engineers in the teaching, project supervision, and research programs applied research projects carried out in collaboration with large and medium-sized companies tailor-made courses for engineers and technicians from industry.
